Private Homesteading classes:

  • Schedule a private homesteading class with Pamela here at the farm. She will be there to help you with each step of preparation but you will be doing most of the work. Types of classes offered are: organic gardening, water bath or pressure canning, fermentation, butter yogurt cheese class, traditional foods class, jellies or jams. Classes run from 9:00-4:00. Classes are $80.00 per person or $45.00 each for two participants. To register for a personal homesteading class please call 940-427-2609. A typical example of a class I did last year with a customer: We pressure canned fresh green beans picked from the garden and made homemade saurkraut while waiting for the pressure canners to finish cooling. She went home with 15 pint jars of fresh green beans canned and a gallon jar of homemade saurkraut and fermented fresh green bean pickles.
